The Shoes

Well the shoes are moving again - Nicole's that is!  We are tearing out her carpet (thanks to Emma).  Nicole would claim it's not Emma that has transformed her bedroom carpet int a virtual pee pad and that really it's my dogs' fault but my bedroom carpet does not look like hers.  Hmmm maybe keeping your bedroom door closed might be a good idea - or catching that little rat Emma before she runs under the bed to hide as you are trying to rush out the door.  Oh yeah.  She hides under the bed where you can't reach her until you give up and just leave her lose in the room instead of crating her. Hence the virtual pee pad carpet!  Wow!  I have totally digressed!  The point I was going to make is that Nicole needs to move all of her shoes out of the room to have the tile installed and I promise to try really hard to let her organize them the way she wants without my 'help'!  I can promise you - I know myself! It won't be easy!   I will have to sit on my hands and bite my tongue and let her have her shoes organized the way she wants. After all it is her room - as long as she keeps the monster under control!  Grrrr

90 Day Challenge

We might all be skinny, but we will probably hate each other! This past Monday, mom, dad and myself decided it was finally time to get in shape and stop procrastinating (Probably not the best time of year since the holidays are coming up but we will see). We are all doing the 90 day challenge by Body by Vi and let me tell you the way these people look after the challenge is over I can't wait to see my results, but in the mean time we will probably all kill one another, or at least thats what I thought the first day. The first day we had a shake in the morning followed by 3 small meals during the day, mine consisted of celery and hummus (GROSS!) followed by chicken and green beans (Okay I can handle that) and blueberries and turkey (Fine I can deal with that too) but the best was when I called mom at 4 to find out what was for dinner and she told me another shake. If only you could have seen the look on my face, I thought I was going to kill someone. How was a shake going to do anything for dinner?! If I don't eat every 3 hours I turn into the devil! Alright well it is just the first day so I will give it a shot, I got home from work and went to the gym, when I got home around 8 now STARVING I asked mom to make my shake while I took a shower. It was still not made by the time I got out and I think my head was starting to spin, not from being dizzy from the lack of patience I had because I was hungry. Finally I started asking in a much louder voice for her to make it, when she did I realized it actually did fill me up and I was much calmer. Then it must have hit dad because he was asking mom a question and they both started arguing, I couldn't do anything but laugh because if you know this family you know that we love each other so much but we will not hesitate to yell at one another, especially when we are hungry. When they both looked at me and yelled "What are you laughing about?", all I could say was.."After this challenge we might all be skinny, but we will probably hate each other". This just made us all laugh even harder! We have pushed past almost the first week now though and I think we are all feeling much better and starting to see some results, but stay tuned because the hunger game could strike again at any time and we never know what might happen when it does.

Blog about a Dog - Part One

Now don't get me wrong, I love the little monster!  But really, we now have a mini Kujo living with us!  I actually looked up the Urban Definition of "Kujo" and there was a picture of Emma.  It says,
KUJO:  When a dog is acting crazy and insane; symptoms include running around and away from people, excessive growling, and frequently a mean-ass bite. Emma looks like Yoda, acts like Kujo and is the most unpredictable animal I have ever known.  I tell everyone when they walk in the house - she is very cute but DO NOT put your hand down there to pet her.  She could easily rip it off with just her nasty look let alone her tiny, razor sharp teeth.  Then again, give her a little food and she might just turn out to be your best friend for life.  If Nicole isn't home I've noticed that Emma will pick one person to befriend and snuggle.  Usually that's not me but Peter.  And the later in the evening it is, the less she likes me.  LOL!  Or anyone.  She gets those albino red eyes and watch out!  Stay tuned for more Emma stories.  Like mother, like dog is all I have to say for now.
